From new catalogs to cool videos, take a look at our favorite posts and videos of the week.

Think of springtime (and nicer weather) while checking out the spring 2011 Blind catalog. The catalog shows a DVD box, too, so it looks like we’ll also have a new Blind video in the spring.

If you want to give back at the end of the year – or think about how to make the skateboarding community a better place in 2011 – Skaters for Portland Skateparks has you covered. The ideas range from helping build a skatepark or supporting a foundation that gives disadvantaged kids a chance to skate.

Also, if you’re in the Portland area, you can help make a local skatepark a reality in 2011. Take a look at some design ideas for the park and see how you can get involved.

It’s also the time of year when everyone makes “best of the year” lists. Skateboarder Magazine asked Erik Ellington to pick his best of 2010. See what he picked as the best of the year, in both skateboarding and culture.

Nyjah Huston is the latest to be featured in TransWorld Skate’s “My Ride” series. Check out this video to see what Nyjah rides and what features he wants to have in a board.

Here’s a cool video: at a premiere of the Tron Legacy movie, skaters were given an iPod equipped with apps that measured their air time and displayed cool graphics on the ramp once they landed. The result makes the riders and the ramp look a lot like some of Tron’s special effects.
